Government Exam Results
and PSI Forms for Grade 10 - 12
Government exam results will be available the first week of March. Students can check their results on the student secure web site at www.bced.gov.bc.ca/exams/. The student's nine digit PEN number is required. Also available at this link is the PSI (Post-Secondary Institution) Choices Form. This form assists students applying to Post Secondary institutions. The Ministry sends a copy of their transcript to the schools they have indicated on the form once graduation status is confirmed in July.
- Second term report cards for Kindergarten to grade 9 students will be mailed to families on Friday March 5. A new parent teacher interaction form will be included with the report card. The form is optional to complete but is intended to give families opportunity to comment on the school year.
Spring Information Meetings

Prince George - April 21 3 pm -- at the Columbus Community Centre
Nelson - April 12 7 pm -- at the Nelson Christian Community School Room 301

Grand Forks Geography Fair
"On February 12, 2010, CHEK Grand Forks held its first Geography Fair at Selkirk College. Students chose specific areas or regions, researched them and shared their newly acquired knowledge through display boards, innovative posters, crafts and relevant items. Attendees to our fair were encouraged to roam from country to country asking questions, finding answers and receiving a stamp for their passport, given to each person upon entry to the Fair. Travels included the Netherlands, Canada (Northwest Territories), Italy, Switzerland, Madagascar, Africa and Mexico. Each group then shared a short oral presentation with a question period. What a wonderful way to explore the world, bringing it closer to each of us!"
The CHEK office will be sending out the annual family survey in February. We value your input regarding the CHEK program and would appreciate the completed surveys being returned to the office by the end of February. A reward will be given to the region with the highest return rate !!!
Grade 4 and 7 students are writing FSA tests sometime during the last part of January and/or during the month of February. Teachers will communicate with families as to where and when writing will take place.
