Resource Information for Parents
The first 50% of each family’s K-9 resource allotment is available when enrollment/ re-enrollment and the SLP are complete. This portion of the funds may be accessed from April/ May to October 15th. The start date is coincides with the home school conference in Kelowna (BC CHEC) where parents are able to view and purchase curriculum. The remaining 50% is available October 15th to May 31st.
High school students are provided with the necessary curriculum for core courses (Math, English, Science, Social Studies, Planning 10). Funds for grades 10-12 courses are available when enrollment/ re-enrollment, the SLP & Grad Planner are complete. Most orders for grades 10-12 core curriculum will be processed by the CHEK office. Parents should contact their teacher regarding elective materials & PE fees.
Funds for registered students are available when registration or re-registration is complete and may be accessed from April/ May to May 31st . The start date coincides with the home school conference in Kelowna (BC CHEC) where parents are able to view and purchase curriculum. Parents may place orders directly with vendors from the CHEK approved vendor list or may submit their orders to the CHEK office for processing.

SLP: Student Learning Plan
Resource allotment: Funds available to purchase curriculum, activities and lessons for each enrolled/ registered student
PO#: Purchase order number (provided to vendors when an order is placed)
Resource funds for all students in a family (enrolled, registered, and grades 10-12) may be pooled together. One family PO# will be used to purchase curriculum, activities, and lessons for all students within a family.
Purchase order forms should be filled out for orders that need to be submitted to the CHEK office for processing in order to provide all necessary order details.
